WE ARE OUT OF CONTROL

Auro Control. The name refers to “Auro” (meaning “golden” in Latin) while also echoing “Out of Control,” reflecting a bold and daring band that quickly captured the attention of audiences and media alike, earning recognition as one of the most exciting new metal acts to emerge from Brazil in recent years.

Founded in 2023 in Salvador, Bahia, by musicians with extensive experience in the music scene, Auro Control is led by vocalist Lucas de Ouro and was established alongside childhood friends guitarist Lucas Barnery and bassist Thiago Baumgarten “Bonga.” This founding trio forms the creative core of Auro Control, a powerful alliance defined by virtuosity, technical precision, and a shared artistic vision built over years of friendship and musical connection.

In 2025, drummer Thiago Drum’on officially joined Auro Control as a full-time member, marking a new phase in the band’s evolution. His arrival brought greater versatility, dynamic depth, and rhythmic sophistication, further expanding the sonic identity and performance power of the group.

THE HARP / DEBUT ALBUM (2024)

Auro Control's "The Harp" was released in Asia by Marquee/Avalon, in Brazil by Metal Relics and in Europe by Rockshots Records.

For a debut album by a new band, the outcome was truly remarkable. Produced by Thiago Bianchi and recorded at the prestigious Fusão Studios (São Paulo), the album received outstanding reviews from both audiences and international media (Chaoszine, Burrn!, Metal Hammer), earning important awards and distinctions.

Special Guests: Thiago Bianchi, Aquiles Priester, Fábio Laguna, Felipe Andreoli, Jeff Scott Soto, Aiace and André Magalhães. Also a choir from Bahia's singers: Roberto Índio, Leonardo Leão, Petrus Bandeira, Mari Cedraz, Andrea Alves, Nathalia Martins, Mai Saraiva and Rafa Chemmés.

The Harp also featured Diego Pires (Warlord, Frontline) on guitars and Davi Britto (Nomin) on drums, whose musicianship helped shape the group’s first chapter. The album's impact was further reinforced when the band members were ranked among the Top 5 musicians of the year by the renowned Brazilian magazine Roadie Crew.​​

THE HARP / BRAZIL TOUR​ (2025)

Auro Control toured extensively across Brazil alongside Edu Falaschi (ex-Angra), in a highly successful run that brought the music to major cities and key metal festivals. The tour was marked by strong audience response, sold-out shows, and an intense connection with fans, further establishing the band as one of the most exciting acts in the national scene and solidifying its reputation through powerful live performances.

After a highly successful Brazilian tour, the band now prepares to expand its horizons with the upcoming album, taking its sound to new territories and audiences.

NEW ALBUM (2026)

 

Next Chapter ahead! Auro Control team up with Adair Daufembach, metal producer based in Los Angeles and the mind behind the production of incredible albums by artists such as Kiko Loureiro, Angra, Tony Macalpine, Hangar, Hibria, Project 46, Maestrick and many others.

 

With his modern approach, he brought fresh ideas to Auro Control and pushed the band to reach a whole new level of performance and sound quality. We can't wait to share with you our new music!

Vocal

Lucas de Ouro

Founder and leader of Auro Control, Lucas de Ouro is a singer with diverse musical references, recognized for singing different musical styles professionally in Brazil and found in music an outlet to express anger, pain and repressed emotions.

 

His biggest influences in metal are Jeff Scott Soto, Geoff Tate and the great Brazilian Power Metal singers Edu Falaschi and André Matos, from Angra. The two meter giant is the main composer of Auro's lyrics.

Guitar

Lucas Barnery

Prodigy Lucas Barnery has been a music professional since he was 14 years old and is the main composer of Auro's music. Guitarist, sideman, music producer and guitar teacher, Barnery started playing in cover bands in Brazil, which include tributes to Symphony X, Dream Theater and A7X.

 

In 2021, he released his first solo album, titled "The Wave and the Sea". His talent and dedication were recognized by the public, which led him to TOP10 Best Guitarists in Brazil chosen by the prestigious Roadie Crew Magazine.

Bass

Thiago Baumgarten

One of the biggest names in the new generation of metal bassists in Brazil. Thiago Baumgarten, who became known for winning several consecutive national competitions, promoted by the bands Almah, Hangar and 4Action.

 

Baumgarten has already toured with major bands such as Hibria and the legendary guitarist Kiko Loureiro.

Drums

Thiago Drum'on

Experienced and versatile drummer who has performed across a wide range of musical styles in Bahia, Brazil.

He became nationally known for his work in the drumming universe, with his YouTube Channel “The Web Drummer Show”, where he interviewed the biggest names in the drumming world.

 

Recently, he toured Brazil as part of Aquiles Priester and Thomas Lang's crew.
